As we all know "single plastic use" has a negative impact on the enviroment.
Let's talk about straws, baby. Let's talk about trash in the sea...did you know it’s estimated that we use over 500 million plastic straws every day in America, and most of those end up in our oceans, polluting the water and killing marine life.
Oceans play a major role the in everyday life of people globally. The are the lungs of our planet and an important part of the biosphere.

WHAT HAPPENS ONCE THEY’RE IN THE WATER?
When plastic does make it into the ocean it breaks down into smaller and smaller pieces known as “microplastics” rather than biodegrading or dissolving, which poses great threats to marine life including fish.
While some city's waste management infrastructure is sound, not all communities have the same level of accountability.
Remember, all gutters and storm drains lead to our ocean!

- Left on beaches in coastal communities and seaside resorts globally
- Littered
- Blown out of trash cans (often times overfilled) or transport boats and vehicles.

SUNGAI WATCH GARBAGE CLEAN UP PROJECT
"Make A Change Bali" is working on developing affordable and replicable solutions to prevent plastic pollution from entering our ocean. They also have an entire workforce active every day cleaning Bali’s rivers, picking up, sorting and cleaning the plastic for it to have a second life.
